Make a logo background transparent
Last updated:
A logo with a transparent background sits cleanly on any color, website or printed piece. Remove the background from your logo image and download it as a transparent PNG.
How to do it
1. Open the tool and choose your logo image (JPG or PNG). The background is removed for you; if not, tap Remove background.
2. In the Background tab, try a few colors to check that the edges look clean.
3. Open Download options and save as PNG, or WebP for a lighter file. Both keep the transparency.
Getting a clean result
Logos with flat colors and sharp edges work best. Start from the highest-resolution file you have, and keep the Download size at the original.
Gradients, soft shadows and very thin lines may need a touch-up: use Erase to remove leftover background and Restore to bring back parts that were cut.
What it does not do
It cuts out a regular image (JPG or PNG). It does not turn a logo into a vector file such as SVG; for that you need a vector editor.
